How does the growth of the world's population today compare with its growth 100 years ago?

Answer
Here is some longer range numbers for you.
World population mid-1800's- 1 billion.
1930's- 2 billion.
mid-1960's- 3 billion.
mid-1980's- 4 billion.
2012- about 6.8 billion.
Today we add about 1 billion people every 10 years, that is about 1/4 million a day !
My anthropology book is a few years old. The growth rate for the future is controversial. Growth rate in developed countries is at sustainable levels. Third world countries, that can least afford large population growth, is clearly where the growth is.

Who is the best player of all times Sir Don Bradman or Sachin Tendulkar ?

Amazing

I know it is hard to compare players belonging to different eras but by comparing overall performances of both can you vote for the best player.
My vote is for Sachin Tendulkar because in my opinion there is no question of comparing Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar with any batsman of any era. Sachin is a book of cricket of which every page showing his different class of play.
He is living legend on earth with calm attitude, unbeatable achievements, down to earth nature and with never ending desire to improve himself. He is not only source of inspiration for present generation but to many generations not only in cricket but in every aspect of life.I am proud to watch such a legend playing live. Big big salute to the little master.
He not only played world's toughest bowlers but also performed well in huge pressure of 100 billion+ people.
What are your views ?

Answer
Tendulkar for sure because he has scored runs against all oppositions unlike Bradman who scored most of his runs against England.

:)
