whats a good book to read nonfiction 2012?

Josse

Answer
There are lots of great nonfiction books published in 2012.

This one looks good to me:
How not to be eaten : the insects fight back by Gilbert Waldbauer

Best seller nonfiction lists include books published in previous years and this year that are selling well right now (I've heard really good things about The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks):
Amazon's best sellers: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Books-Nonfiction/zgbs/books/53
The New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/best-sellers-books/2012-06-10/combined-print-and-e-book-nonfiction/list.html

Are you happy with your book reading (count) for 2012?

Gerry

I've been a little depressed when I look at my list for 2012 in comparison to 2011, 2010, and 2009 respectively; I feel like I dropped the ball. I am currently on my 10th book for 2012 and I sense this will be my last for the year.

The book I am reading is "Honus Wager; A Biography" by Dennis and Jean DeValeria (1995). Quite a fascinating story as I just cracked open the book this morning.

The book I wanted to get to the most this year is still on my shelf: "Theif at the End of the World" a book on the history of rubber.

BQ: Are you happy with how much you read this year?

Answer
(((Gerry)))

Meh, I don't set a goal at the beginning of the year...reading is reflexive for me. Trying to put a number on it would be like trying to control the ebb and flow of my life. It's just not possible.

BA: Have no idea how much I read this year, but I do think it was probably less than usual because I spent two months on Carlo D'Este's "Patton: A Genius for War."
