There are lots of great books for middle grades 4th - 6th grade) i would reccomend for girls and boys: The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. Another boy and girl book is The Homework Machine by Dan Gutman. and a girl book wobe Lilly B. on the brink of cool by Elizabeth Cody Kimmel! hope i could help!

Does anybody remember a children's book about a 4th grade boy who made friends with a kid name Vlad Alucard?

Does anybody remembered a children's book about a 4th grade boy who made friends with a new kid name Vlad Alucard? I coudln't remember the title nor the author but I remember the storyline pretty well about this kid in the 4th grade who made friends with the new kid who's family just recently moved from Transylvania who goes by the name of Alucard. All I could remembered is that the new kid had two parents, an older sister and a really huge dog. The story consists of a bunch of elemetary school kids who are getting ready for a fall festival during the Halloween season which was almost ruined by two bullies, again I forgot their names but they were both boy and girl(the girl is actually the ring leader) That's when Vlad suggested to have the festival at his house. Did I mentioned that the new family are vampires? If anyone has even heard about this story please let me know.
