Idk
I'm taking advanced language arts, because that's my best subject and I really really love writing and I like to read. I want some good new books to read. I like books about love, and books similar to 13 reasons why (my favorite book) Does anyone have any ideas? :)
Answer
John Green books-The Fault in Our Stars, Looking for Alaska (a bit inappropriate but you could try it if you can handle yourself), Paper Towns, An Abundance of Katherines, Will Grayson Will Grayson.
& Also Rainbow Rowell books!-Eleanor&Park, Attachments, Fangirl (soon to be released September 2013), Landline (soon to be released Spring 2014).
I'm a year older than you, 8th grade. And I also love reading so much is practically a problem haha:) Some of these books are centered for around more mature young adults but if you can handle yourself like I did when I read some of these books last year, you can make it through! :D
Happy Reading!

What would be a good book for a 7th grader to read?
Tiffany
I like science fiction and fantasy (like Percy Jackson, Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, etc.) and HATE books that are "classics". Help?

The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett is Amazing. There are however a lot of books, so a few suggestions on where to start might be in order:
Guards! Gurads! http://www.amazon.com/Guards-Terry-Pratchett/dp/0061020648 (more a guys book)
Wyrd Sisters: http://www.amazon.com/Wyrd-Sisters-Terry-Pratchett/dp/0061020664
Hogfather: http://www.amazon.com/Hogfather-Terry-Pratchett/dp/0061059056
Terry Pratchett's non-Discworld books are very good too:
Only You Can Save Mankind: http://www.amazon.com/Only-Mankind-Johnny-Maxwell-Trilogy/dp/0060541873/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1298603803&sr=1-1 (more a guys book)
The Bromiliad/Nomes Series: http://www.amazon.com/Bromeliad-Trilogy-Truckers-Diggers-Wings/dp/0060094931
Nation: http://www.amazon.com/Nation-Terry-Pratchett/dp/0061433012
You might also like Watership Down by Richard Adams. An epic adventure involving some bunny rabbits looking for a new home after their warren is destroyed. It really is a lot better than I make it sound, trust me. It is a classic but don't hold that against it :)
http://www.amazon.com/Watership-Down-Richard-Adams/dp/0380002930 (more a guys book, also fairly long)
John Marsden's Tomorrow Series is a fantastic blend of realistic teen issues fiction and rip roaring action adventure. If you want to you can read the Hunger Games books, but this series covers similar material and is much, much better. No author writes sustained action and suspense better than Marsden.

The Old Kingdom novels by Garth Nix are brilliant. Lots of action, an intriguing world and magic system, and just a little bit spooky.
http://www.amazon.com/Sabriel-Abhorsen-Trilogy-Garth-Nix/dp/0060273224
Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series is a lot of fun. If you liked the Old Kingdom books, or if they look like your type of thing, you will probably like these. The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon-esque martial arts action scenes are a blast.
http://www.amazon.com/Final-Empire-Mistborn-Book/dp/076531178X (books are fairly long)
If you liked Artimis Fowl you will probably like Eion Colfer's other books. In my opinion The Supernaturalist, The Wish List, and "Benny and Omar" (His best book, but more issues fiction. The other two are supernatural/sci-fi adventures) are much better than the continuing adventures of a certain boy genius.
