Answer
Hi!
I have the best books for you!

Well here are some that I like:

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins:
You'll like it.

There are 3 books
1.Hunger Games 374 pages
2.Catching Fire 392 pages
3.Mockingjay 390 pages not counting the acknowledgment

Its about a game that the capitol forces the 12 districts to play so they won't rebel like district 13 did. They force one boy and one girl from the ages of 12-18 , from each district to fight to the death on live T.V.

If you read it the third one is really really boring but it gets interesting.
Promise.

The movie comes out on 3-23-12.

The Darkest Powers trilogy by Kelly Armstrong:
There are three books

This book has a good plot but itâs kind of hard to understand and doesnât finish everything they started on.
But I likes it and maybe you will too.

1.The Summoning , 400 pages
2.The Awakening, 384 pages not counting the acknowledgment
3.The Reckoning, 400 pages not counting the acknowledgement

Itâs about a girl who sees ghosts and her school makes her go to a group home; Lyle House and they diagnose her with schizophrenia. But later she discovers that there is something fishy in that group homeâ¦

The movie comes out in 2013 (didnât say exactly when)

The Help by Katherine Stockett:
Just one book

1.The Help, 464 pages

It takes place in the 1960s in a town called Jackson, Mississippi. There are 3 main characters and itâs about the racial stereotype of dark people. It is about a lady who wants to reverse that so she writes a book from the point of view of the help.

You probably watched the movie and the movie SUCKED it was awful compared to the book I promise you the book is MUCH better =)

The Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind:
There are 12 books but technically 13
The pages are kind of complicated because the hardcover and the paperback have different numbers. The first book was made in 1994 and they made different editions of the book since then and Iâm writing the first edition.

1.Wizardâs First Rule, paperback:820 hardcover:573
2.Stone of Tears, paperback:979 hardcover:
3.Blood of the Fold, paperback:623 hardcover:464
4.Temple of the Winds, paperback:822 hardcover:528
5.Soul of the Fire, paperback:788 hardcover:512
6.Faith of the Fallen, paperback:800 hardcover: ?
7.The Pillars of Creation, paperback:725 hardcover:557
8.Naked Empire, 608 not sure in paperback or in hardcover just know that it is 608 because I havenât gotten to that one yet and the internet only says one page numbers and doesnât specify which one. I could tell for the others because I had the books. Iâm going to put the rest of the Sword of Truth novels on because they are a continuation.
9.Chainfire , 672 not sure which one do to the reasons above.
10.Phantom, ironically 672 =P
11.Confessor, 673 hehe
12.Omen Machine, 525â¦which is the last one

Dose are only 12 of the books.
There is one more book that is supposed to be first but it came out in 2001 instead of before the other one. It is related to the story but it just explains how the different boundaries came to be. Iâm not sure if Iâm going to read it but if I do I would read it after everything else. =)

It is about a magical world separated into three Richard Cypher a woodsman has to save all of the world from a dark ruler; Darken Rahl.

The show came out in 2008 called âThe Legend of the Seekerâ and ended after 2 seasons in 2010
(Thatâs what inspired me to read the books)

But this is a little on the Adult side than Young Adult side but I read it when I was 11 so...

And those are just some of great books I was to tired to right the others and no space but try reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and 1984 and The Chronicles of Vladimor Tod, etc.

Good title for a book set in the 1960s?

Maliha

I am writing a novel about a young white woman running away from her abusive boyfriend who falls in love with a black man in a town she stops in along the way. Any good titles?

Answer
I agree and disagree with Steve. You should focus on writing the book first, focus on the title second. But that title is way too long. I'd suggested something like"

A Love Doomed From the Start
The Town Where I Started Over (use only if the book is written in first person)
The Stop Along the Way
Two Lost Sheep (if the black man had a bad back story as well this might work. I said sheep 'cause there are white sheep and black sheep)

Sorry for these all being sort of mushy.
