I didn't live in the US while I was in 9th and 10th grade, so I am not familiar with the curse curriculum. For an assignment we're supposed to recall a book from 9th grade and show how it is "political".
The point is i need to know what books freshmen usually read so that I can read at least one and be able to finish my assignment.

The books read are very different for each school, but a book that I read in class in 9th grade which would fit the assignment well is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
Or you could just ask someone in your class who went to that school since 9th grade which books they read that year (for if it has to be a specific book which all the 9th graders at your school read)

I have a project. I have to read 15 9th grade level (or higher) books by June. I've read 7 so far and I showed them to my teacher to find out if they were OK. How can I check on my own?
I have thought about it and came up with-

300 pages or more
But the suggested reading list he gave us has a 123 page book in it :( I'm not using the list but that confused me, because all the other books ranged from 300-1000 pages...
I'm in 9th grade.
