Would you recommend reading book in spanish to help learn spanish?

I have taken spanish for two years and have a pretty good understanding of it. would it help me learn spanish if i read a book in spanish. They would probably be books i already read in english and on an easy level.

If you want a sure-fire confidence builder that will also teach you some new vocabulary I would recommend the Blaine Ray series which includes Pobre Ana and Casi se muere.

Reading books is a Great way to help! You can buy several dual language readers (Spanish on one page and English on the page beside). I use these in my Spanish classes.

I've been taking Spanish classes for 3 years, and Im going o begin my 4th year this fall, but I dont want to forget everything I've learned over the summer. What are some easy ways to keep myself familiarized with spanish? Any good study websites or other tips?

1. maybe watch some shows in spanish (tv and internet) to see how much you can decipher and learn new words!

2. read books in spanish

3. keep studying old notes, flashcards, and textbooks that you've used previously

4. read articles online in spanish

5. maybe keep a journal in english and translate it in spanish using words you know and even learn new words and phrases!

6. see if there's someone you can chat with in spanish (whether if its in person, or a chatroom or facebook...lol)

as long as you keep practicing and using what you've learned, i think you'll be fine!
