I am very interested in becoming a sommelier. Although I am from a larger city (200,000 population), there appears to be no local wine education programs. Would anyone have a good website that outlines the full scope of book knowledge I would need to acquire. A recommendation for a good online course would be welcome as well. Thanks in advance!

what would ya say is a good price on getting just a hallway done in laminate flooring?

i just got an estimate on my rather large hallway i would say its about 14 feet long and then goes about 6 feet to the left at the end and about 7 feet to the right and each way is probaly about 4 ft wide. i got a price already ,and it is including all materials and labor for 200.00. i have small children and have never went and priced the flooring because i would be all over town looking for the cheapest but i dont have time. pleas help! am i getting a good deal?

If you get anyone to even enter your house for $200.00, then I would say you are getting a great deal. Two hundred dollars doesn't do much these days. This is the problem, the job you are wanting done will take serious time and more than what you have been priced. It looks more like someone is trying to get a fast paycheck and then leave you hanging while they run with your cash. The best advice I can give you, is to call some people in your area and have them come and give you a price. Look in the yellow pages of your phone book under "Flooring". You will find companies in there that will come to your house and see the actual job and give you a free quote. It will be listed in the yellow pages if they do free quotes, most companies do. If it doesn't say that, ask them when you call.
