best books design patterns image
Jen
Hi! I am fairly new to sewing. My son loves the characters from the television show "Maisy," and I want to make him some felt plushies. I would like to design patterns based on the characters and work from there, but I do not know where to start. Are there any good Web sites or books that show how to draw up a pattern? Thank you so much!

www.cutoutandkeep.com
it's a collection of sewing and craft projects, alot of the people who have posted projects post tutorials as well, and there are a lot of plushies on the site! You could use a tutorial and modify it to meet your needs.
I usually start by drawing a very simplified version of the critter I'm going to make, then add some details until it looks how I want it to on paper. Then I figure out how I'll put the pieces together ( a good way to do this is cut your pieces out of paper and see if they'll fit together ) Start by making a sample of out some cheap or scrap fabric if you need to get the hang of it, then move on to the real thing!

How do I get my line of intimate apparel clothing manufactured?
Jason H
I have several designs for some unique intimate apparel for women. I have the designs, patterns and preferred fabrics, but I don't have the time to sew all of these myself. How do I go about getting my clothes made so I can sell them on a web site?
Answer
