In the dar
I need to read one of these books for school this year (along with many others - I won't have time to read both)
Which one should I read??? Great Expectations is my Literature teacher's favorite and The Man Who Was Thursday is my Theology teacher's...
and I haven't met anyone who's read both yet.....
XD
Which oneee?
Answer
The Man Who Was Thursday. You might hear many call Great Expectations a classic, but I'm not sure why. It's EXTREMELY tedious and drawn out. My English teacher said it was her favorite, but she told me on the side that she hates it. She said she loves it for motivation. It's written in slightly obsolete english, and at one point spends 3 pages talking about what it smells like, finishing with "The air smells of corduroy, and corduroy smells of the air." What EXACTLY does that mean?

Suggestions of great books!?
face2face
So I've been willing to buy some books, the problem is, just a few rly catch my attention.
I want to read books with enthralling, lovable characters, with an amazing storyline.
So far I think the books I enjoyed the most were The Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fear (by Pat Rothfuss) and Divergent (by Veronica Roth)
