Urban planning is really a general phrase that has to do with several subcategories. Anything related to managing a "city" or an urban area is urban planning. This includes land-use, transportation, city government structure, budgets, etc. There are some great books out there on urban planning, but for a good overview I would recommend "Community Planning: An Introduction to the Comprehensive Plan," by Eric Damian Kelly and Barbara Parker.

Im looking to start reading a new series, I enjoy reading series I like urban books, commonly know as "Black" Books (I hate that terminogy) Ive read books such as shameless hood wives, mommy's angel, daddy's girl, A gangster's girl saga, 16 on the block.....so do you know of any series similar to these types of books.
