i know of fear and loathing in las vegas cuz of the movie, so im gonna read that. are there any other good ones by him?

Answer
There are actually two movies based on that book--the other is called "Where the Buffalo Roam" with Bill Murray playing Dr. Gonzo. Keep in mind when reading "Fear and Loathing" that these movies are based on the book only.

Here's link to Thompson's works and a great site besides:

As far as what to read, it really depends on what you want to read. Works like "Hell's Angels" and "Fear and Loathing" are probably the best known, most into the idea of "gonzo" writing he was known for. Thompson was also a fantastic social analyst and commentator for his time--definitely had a lot to say about politics and sports--so somethign like "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail of '72" is good for this kind of reading. I prefer his collections of letters, like in "The Gonzo Papers." "The Rum Diary" was a smaller work of fiction that I didn't find too great--I also wasn't too keen on his last few books. This link also has some links to his articles in Rolling Stone and I think ESPN--both of which he wrote for fairly consistently.

anybody know All of hunter thompsons books?
