Okay. I'm a senior in highschool and for our AP English Literature class we have this project where we can read a novel of choice as long as its considered Literature.
I want to read The Secret Garden, but is that too easy/childish of a book and not Literature?

I think The Secret Garden is fine. It's a classic of children's literature, and if you're in AP Lit, I'm confident you can make it into a wonderful project.
Also, I don't think you're bragging at all, even though AP Lit is definitely something great (my favorite class in HS). I just thought you were giving more definition to the question - it helps us judge the appropriateness of your book choice.

Great Expectations will give you great expectations of what to write about, it is a very well written piece of literature, from a classic author.
