Recommendations for Bible study books for kids?

questiongu

I'd like to have recommendations for thought-provoking Bible study books for kids 11-16 years old. I'm especially thinking books on God's love, the power of prayer, and the beauty of God's plan for salvation. Any other topics are welcome too, of course. The books don't have to be in a workbook format and they don't have to be specifically considered a Bible study book, just so long as they deal with Bible subjects. Any ideas???

Answer
books in that category, i'm not to sure about HOWEVER, i strongly recommend you buy them a copy of "The New Answers Book 1, 2 & 3" Also The "evolution exposed" series, and if you have the money, and they are really into science, "Answers magazine" subscription(it's quarterly and on the spendy side tho)
Because one of the worst things they will run into is people saying "Evolution is true so the bible is false" these book's helped make my very confident in my faith.

You can get them @ Answers in Genesis.org

Ideas for an activity book for kids?

I'm going on a Disney cruise (on the Fantasy) next month and I'm responsible for making activity books, which are just folders with various activities in them. Any ideas? I've got awhile and I am making them for both boys and girls.

Coloring pages, crossword, word search, what's wrong with the picture type of thing, which one doesn't fit (into a particular category) matching, connect the dots, mazes, the game where you have a phrase and they write down all the words they can come up with using those letters, not sure what it's called. You could even do a paper doll page where they can cut out the clothing. If you didn't want to do a doll, you could always do a boat and have a fisherman, fish, buckets, etc. You can always just look at a kids activity book to get some more ideas. Oh yeah, what about maybe a page where they can color a mask then cut it out and wear it?
