Someone recommend me great books!?

Firedog

I'm on spring break and am in need of some great books! :)

So far, I'm planning to read the diary of anne frank and the secret life of bees.

What are some great classic books? :D

Im up for any genre, just no more non-fiction/biographies. (mom says i read too many of those...xD)

I've read the entire twilight saga...it was alright. I would prefer to stay away from the corny teenage romance books though. :x

Thanks for your help! (:

Could somebody tell me some good books?

haz baz ;)

Before I start, I'm a girl. I'm just using my brother's account :-)
Any way... I'm never usually into reading, but I've just read all of the Twilight Saga and I've loved every single one of them. Now I've finished them, I'm lonely :-( ha ha! So could anyone name some decent books? I'm into most things! Any thing that'll keep me interested. Nothing too, weird... Ha ha!
Thank you so much! I'm going to order some of the books from Amazon :-) Thank you for your help.xx

Answer
Wow. I've read over 100 books in my young life.

Vampire Academy sets up one of the most fascinating worlds I have come across in very long time. Richelle Mead's vision of vampires is fresh and intriguing. The story is well written with a gripping plot and characters that are both realistic and real. Not only do I feel as though I an starting to know these people and their world, I also find myself actually caring about what happens to them.

The novel is indeed darker than the average YA offering. But it is in no way traumatizing or depressing. It is simply placed in a world that is grittier and more dangerous than that of most people. It still covers common themes from high school. While not worrying about life and death, the leads still have to contend with attacks on their reputations and decisions of which is more important, staying good with the popular crowd or being true to your heart.

This new universe has seized my imagination and I am more than eager to see the next installment of this series.

I'm just going to give you a list of great books without my opinion on them:

I Am the Cheese (Laurel-Leaf Library) - Good book, sad but really makes you think

The Giver - Has a lot of political significance, also makes you think

Tangerine - Really upsetting but very realistic and moving

Hope Was Here (2001 Newbery Honor Book) - I can totally relate to Hope except I can't carry that many plates at one time.

Stargirl - A classic modern teen book about individuality

What My Mother Doesn't Know - Junk Book. (Everyone needs a few junk books like junk food.) It's about love and what we will do to get it! I didn't read it...

One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies - J.B. (Junk Book) A perfect book for any sulking teen

Abarat (Abarat, 1) - GREAT FANTASTY WITHOUT DRAGONS! It's really long, so good for sick days.

This Lullaby - A really good love story without roses and sneaking off to enlope.

Bloomability - Good readaloud book, but it gets kinda boring

Anne of Green Gables (Unabridged Classics) - A great classic. The character seems so alive and vibrant. And she dies her hair green! OOO!

Gone With the Wind: The Definitive Illustrated History of the Book, the Movie and the Legend - The first and best romance says our mom. I say a long book but very rewarding.

The Phantom Tollbooth - Amazing book! Great for pre-teens, but if you haven't read it yet, you should.

The Encounter (Animorphs#3) - This does not belong on this list, but it is a childhood favorite. P.S. Tobias rocks and don't buy this book

Eva - Creepy Chimps and other assorted mishaps. A girl gets turned into a chimp in the future.

House of Stairs - A really creepy book that'll make you doubt your existance. Or make you throw down the book in disgust and hide under your covers for dear life, of red machines.

Start Here (Have a Nice Life) - J.B. The "Have a Nice Life" Books. It features a Lenny Kravitz look-alike, 4 very insecure girls and a cow. Yes a cow.

The City of Ember: The First Book of Ember (Books of Ember) - A Science fiction that may take place in the past, future, is it even Earth???? P.S. Great thinker book, Sequel: Sparks

Chasing Vermeer - Great mystery says my sister. It's twu!

Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism - About a disturbed orphan named after marshmallows who learns to hypnotize pEEEps

Breadwinner - A chica living in the middle east. "Great review Scarlett" says my sister

The Secret of Platform 13 - A great mix of fantasy, realistic fiction and witches! Mix in some switchin babies, are yur set to go!

The Key to the Golden Firebird - J.B. But it's very good! About 3 sisters with a car (thats the firebird bit.) One of the only realistic fiction book where the dad dies instead of the mom.

Of Two Minds (Point Fantasy) - Ladies of the court. Kinda a Nifer book if you know what I mean. Wait, you don't. Kinda predictable but fun.

Sights - not a good cover. It's a really interesting book about a girl in the 50's with PSYCHIC POWERS. More of realistic fiction then a fantasy.

Stardust - A great romance fantasy

Running Out of Time - Almost exactly the same plot as "The Village" movie, but it came first. Less scary though, belive you me.

Feeling Sorry for Celia: A Novel - 'Ello! I'm an english book! And I include circuses, Smarties and insane teens!
