What are some great mystery books.?

What are some great mystery books and when i say books i do not mean like short stories compiled together or detective sherlock holmes. I mean modern set mystery stories for adolescents that are extremely suspenseful and great page-turners with a maybe a bit of fiction.
okay i guess i was a little confused when i wrote that. i am 14 although i read much higher level books so i would say a more mature level reading. PS i read boxcar children and some of those other answers up to 8-9 years ago
