Best children's books for 7 years old.?

Q. Hello,
I looking for some books that teach, in a fun way, math, geometry, geography, history ...
My little girl will be in 3rd grade next year and she likes books. Which are good and why

Answer
For geometry "Mummy Math" and the Sir Cumference series by Cindy Neuschwander.
Math "Amanda Bean's Amazing Dream" by Cindy Neuschwander, "Spaghetti And Meatballs For All" by Marilyn Burns Brainy and A Fly on the Ceiling by Julie Glass (about coordinates) .
My child likes the MATHSTART and LET'S READ AND FIND OUT SCIENCE series.

The Magic Tree House Research Guide are very interesting.

Age Appropriate books for a 7 year old...?

Mom to Fos

To help him deal with / understand adoption. I am looking into trying to find some books to help our son understand adoption / maybe why he can't see mommy anymore...etc! He is having a hard time dealing with some of these issues! If anyone has any advice it would be most appreciated.
Edit - ok, the first four answers...did ya even read the flipping question? AGH!
EDIT! ANDRAYA! He has a flipping therapist for the sh*t his parents have put him through...for months he would cry in his bed at night that it was ALL his fault! I am NOT stupid and you're answer makes me question whether you are or not! Get a life - I realize that Dr. Suess can't fix this! OMG! ARG!
Edit#2 - I have asked! She suggested some items, but I thought I would ask here on the ADOPTION FORUM as we are all talking about adoption. She is a therapist who deals with MORE than just adoption!

I guess the right thing to say was sorry to ask - but I am not going to say that as a stupid question is one that is not asked!

Answer
If you are adopting from the foster care system, one great book for kids up to 8 years old or maybe older if they are emotionally and developmentally younger is "My Foster Care Journey" by Beth O'Malley. It is like a lifebook, but very nicely done.

Also, check out her work in general. There might be other things. She is an adoptive mother and an adoptee and she cares alot about children.

ANother GREAT book is "A Simple Brown Leaf" by LJ Davis. It is about how a leaf changes over time, but reading it with your child can have excellent discussion about your child's life. Two main characters are a leaf and a squirrel. It is beautiful because the overall message to the child is that he/she is loved and needed over all the courses and changes of life. Art is fantastic.

The final recommendation I can give comes from Mr. Rogers of TV Fame. The book is called "Lets Talk About it: Adoption" It has pictures of adoptive families so that the child can relate to what is going on in the book. The pictures depict the emotions in the family and pretty much cover alot of scenarios.

That's all I got. Hope it helped....
