Fall
I just hate that feeling. Maybe I get too attached to the characters, but thinking that I'll never hear from them again makes me uneasy. I've followed a few tv shows for years and when they ended, I thought the ending was good and moved on with my life. But with books, it's hard to get over the feeling. I can't even bring a book on vacation because I'll think too much of it instead of enjoying the beach.
Has this ever happened to you and if so, how do you get over the feeling (except with time) ?
BQ: what's your fav book/series?
The feelings don't last for weeks though, that's ridiculous. Maybe a few days max before it completely leaves my mind, but it still makes me wish I didn't pick up the book in the first place

Oh that's the worst! There's actually a few series where I haven't read the last book in the series, because I'm just too scared about how upset I'm gonna be when it ends, even if its a great ending. Its not about being afraid of hating the ending, Its just about being afraid of being done. Just...that's it? No more? When the book or the characters are good enough, the ending really can be like losing someone close to you. I mourn, I can't get over the fact that I won't spend more time with them. Weird. Its like the last song at a concert. Really, the worst feeling ever.
I think the only way to get over it is to find another book or series that is just as amazing.
I wouldnt say its my favorite in any way, but the last time I got that feeling was with the "Jessica Darling" series. I did not want to say goodbye to Marcus Flutie.

Any suggestions for a great book series?

I love when I find a great book and love it when there is a series, i.e. V.C. Andrews, Terry Goodkind, etc. Genre isn't important as long as it's fiction! Thnx!
