What Can I Do If There Is No Snow?
CB
Just a quick question for you, i have a skiing holiday booked to Bulgaria in January and so far there isn't any snow there at all! :(
If for example 1 week before we depart there is no snow forecasted.... is it possible to get either a refund or a date change on our holiday? I am panicking big time because of the lack of snow there and if we can't ski... there is no point in us going!
Answer
Hello,
I am pleased to hear that you are about to enjoy your vacation in Bulgaria. Honestly speaking, the weather is pretty warm and even the official opening of ski season 2010/2011 in Bansko was postponed. The forecast is that although it tends to be rainy until 8th of Dec, some snowfalls are expected around Xmas. Therefore, I am positive that your snow holiday in January is guaranteed. For instance, many skiers booked their vacation for Christmas and New year and the warm weather was a disappointmen /yet, there are many entertainment options in the resorts/, but Jan brought substantial snowfalls. As it comes to refunds, I would like to point out that it really depends on your tourist agency. For the date, I think that a legitimate local operator will manage to arrange some modifications if they care about your experience.
In summary, I am sure that Jan will bring snowshowers and we will hit the slopes. Btw, check our live reports in order to keep yourself informed and refer to us for any questions:)
Have a nice one.
Cheers,
