Any successful writers who had no professional training or degree?

I'm wondering are there any famous, successful writers or great books written by people who have no professional training/no college degree in English/Literature (or whatever the degree may be). I have so many interests and different things I want to pursue and I'm wondering if I happened to write a book if it is possible for people who don't have pro training to be able to have a successful, published book.

The Outsiders is an amazing book written by a 16 year old girl still completing high school! So yes it is possible. The Outsiders moved on to be a classic in teenage literature, and it really is an amazing book. If you are interested in reading it the author is S.E. Hinton.

One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Not an English book but the best I've ever read.
