greatest sports books of all time image
Mike Burgo
We are going to Las Vegas in about a month to do some sports betting. I have not been there in about a year. Was wondering what sports books offer free drinks to betters or which ones offer the best ratio of drink tickets to amount of money being bet. I have heard las vegas hilton is our best bet but just wanted some more opinions. Thanks!
Answer
They all give free drinks if you are betting. Hilton is great.
If you have access to a car. Take a ride south on LV Blvd. to the new M Resort.
IT really is a nice place and has one of the most interesting books in Las VEgas. It is just over a year old, but this place is faboulos. They also have in game betting, so you get a little pda and can make and change bets duinrg the action. Very interesting concept.
Enjoy the visit.

What are some great sports films that are based on books?
Mike
The books don't have to be based on true events, but I need to know of some good sports films based on books.
Answer
Oh, my gosh - Brian's Song! Talk about a tearjerker!
Then, there are The Natural, Eight Men Out, Glory Road, Raging Bull, The Hurricane, North Dallas Forty, The Junction Boys, The Express, The Damned United, Invictus, The Greatest Game Ever Played, and Seabiscuit.
There are also films like Friday Night Lights, Any Given Sunday, and The Blind Side, but I wouldn't personally categorize them as "great" sports films, just watchable ones.
