How does the book The Hunger Games have any connection to biology?

I have to do a project for biology and I chose to read the book the Hunger Games. I have to list 5 connections to the field of biology. All I can think of is survival of the fittest? I also have to explain how information found in the book is important for us as human beings and citizens of an industrialized country.

well aside from the survival of the fittest, theres also the mutations that were done to the contestants that died during the first game. if i remember correctly, they were turned into wolves or something. katniss could tell it was them because of their eyes.
another connection would maybe be human attraction? im not sure if that directly relates to biology but attraction has to do with the way the brain interprets things.
