This is for a World Literature assignment where I have to act like the teacher and pick books for students to read.

Answer
i think the new testament is a great one

firstly the bible is the best selling and most well known book in the whole world

secondly the new testament is set in the times of the roman empire where ideas and inventions were quick to spread around due to the common language and ease of movement between regions under one government (becoming more like that today too don't you think?)

thirdly - it gives the origins of the church and Christianity which has been a fundamental part of the western culture for centuries

fourthly - it is a great read!

start them off with one of the gospels outline then follow on with acts as the backbone of the new testament

all the epistles can be linked in with acts with revelation tacked on at the end

Where can I find references in world literature about bolivia?

curiosity

I just found a reference to bolivian and its mithological origins in a book by Herman Mellville. Confidence-man...

I wonder is there any place I can check that would give more interesting mentions of bolivia in the classics or famous world literature works?
Besides academic studies pertaining to scientifc aspects or studies in bolivian economics, history or sociology, etc.
I mean not books about bolivia or authored by bolivians. just mentions of bolivia in classics of world literature

Answer
go to amazon.com, choose "books," then "fiction & literature" and in the space for refining your results, type in Bolivia. See what comes up.
