greatest books made into movies image
Virginia W
I have no idea where one can suggest books to be made into movies but I have read several I would like to see on film. One is The Prophetess by Barbara Wood. It is about a female archaeologist who unearths some ancient scrolls and is pursued by unscrupulous people who want to get them from her. She flees them as they have tracked her on her phone and computer but she cleverly outwits them and tries to translate the scrolls.

I was going to say BRAVE NEW WORLD by Aldous Huxley, but now I find that was made in 1998 but not for USA release. (Stars Leonard Nimoy & Peter Gallager).
I'm tied between two allegory books.
THE GREAT DIVORCE by C.S. Lewis. Apparently movie rights have been secured & they are looking for backing to make the movie this year. The plot summary can be found at...

The other allegory is HIND'S FEET ON HIGH PLACES.

I think someone like Steven Spielberg could do these justice b/c of his work with mixing in CGI in a believable manner. They would not be as good if attempted to be done in total CGI. Which would be too tempting b/c of all the fantasy scenery.
Although billed a Christian works, C.S. Lewis (as shown in plot summary) never intended it to be JUST that. They would best focus on divorcing ones self from the matters in life that hold you back from being the most you can be. And learning to journey away from a fear controlled life into being the most you can be. (Respectively.)
I think the world needs to hear these messages at this time.

Which Stephen King books do you think should be made into movies?
Alison
I like most of his books that are already movies, but which books should be made into movies?
I really think Rose Madder should be. It doesnt have much dialogue but with the right team making the movie it could be great. I like 'The long walk' but probably not for a movie. Any one else? :)
