I admit it, I'm a data nut. I try to keep track of which books I've read that have ever been listed on the NY Times best seller list. Does anyone know where I can get a list of Mr. Cussler's books that made the list? Thanks!!
Answer
If he's had one, it's one too many.

Can someone recommend two recent, well-known books about US foreign policy regarding the Middle East?

I have to write a paper about how these books have been reviewed in the mainstream media. So they should be fairly well-known titles that have been reviewed by the NY Times, Washington Post Book Review, New York Book Review, etc...
Thanks for the tips. I couldn't find any reviews in the Times or Post for "Tracking Deception." Do you know anything about a book called "Daydream Believers"?
Answer
"Tracking Deception: Bush Mid-East Policy" by Williard A. Cook
"Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib" by Seymour M. Hersh
You might also look into the Chalmers Johnson trilogy (Nemesis, Blowback, The Sorrows of Empire)
