What is the quintessential John Grisham book?

I want to get my sister a book by John Grisham for the holidays because she is into law and such. I hear John Grisham has some excellent books on this subject. What is a good one to start her off with?

You might also check out A Civil Action by Jonathan Harr. Its excellent.
Also One L by Scott Turow is supposed to be good, I haven't read it but the movie was great.

I love Mary Higgens clark and john grisham books but latley i have been so busy i have not read any of there new books. Can you please tell me some of there new books that are good.

I read both, its hard to say with Mary Higgins Clark because she has over 30 books out. The last one that I read by her though was "Two Little Girls In Blue", I liked it. I also read "Santa Cruise" but that one was so, so. The other recent ones are: "Where Are You Know?" and "I Heard That Song Before".

I also like to read her daughter Carol Higgins Clark's books, I like her Regan Reilly series, the last book I read by her was "Laced".

John Grisham has several books out also. I think his last few out are "The Appeal", "Playing for Pizza" and "The Innocent Man". My personal favorite if you haven't read it already is "A Painted House".
