I like a lot of different types of books: Holocaust books (Number the Stars/ My Brother's Voice & Devil's Arithmetic), Thriller/Horror (Pet Sematary, Carrie, It & The Exorcist), Series ( Twilight & A Series of Unfortunate Events). Recommend a list of your favorite reads and some other books that I may enjoy!

Answer
I would HIGHLY recommend Maus by Art Spiegelman. It is a graphic novel (read: like a comic book) in 2 parts. DO NOT be thrown off by the fact that their are pictures. This is not a children's book and it is an INCREDIBLY insightful view into the Holocaust and how survivors and their families are affected by it the rest of their lives. The author not only tells his father's Holocaust stories, but shows you the strained relationship he has with his father and the guilt he feels over his mother's (also a Holocaust survivor) suicide. This is one of my favorite books of all time. And I don't read comics.
