On the copyrights page (page where the year of publication, legal rights etc are given in small print) of most of the books the digits 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 or 1 3 5 7 9 2 4 6 8 0 etc are written in a font and size of rest of the page. What does it signify?

The print runs. ALl the numbers are there for the first print run (are you sure there's 0?), and then they take one off for each subsequent printing. So if you only have 10 9 8 7, it's the seventh print run. If you have an old book like Gone With the Wind, you'll probably find the numbers are more like 99 98 97 96 95 94.

I'm getting it all right except for the classification of one of the singular points. Can anyone help me with this. (Answer from book: 0,regular 2,regular)

as typed 2 is regular but 0 is irregular as lim { x---> 0 } [ x(5x-7) / x²] does not exist...that is 0 is a pole of order 2 for p_1 (x) =(5x-7) / (x² [x-2]) and 2 is a pole of order 1
