I'm reading a book, called Devil In The White City by Erik Larson, and I need to write two persuasive essay topics based on the book. The book is about H.H. Holmes, who is considered to be America's first serial killer, and about the creation of the World's Columbian Expostion in Chicago. What are some good topics I can write about based on this?

Most authors are not willing to give away free ebooks. However some will give away excerpts or chapters. A few will give away whole books. One that does is Cory Doctorow. Little Brother is an amazing book.
Gutenberg is great for classics.
