I have to do a report on an award winning book. I am in 7th grade so somewhere on that reading level or a little higher. Please make it an interesting book and give me several options. Thanks :)

Answer
you should consider doing it on The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Narrated by Death, the book is set in Nazi Germany (a period when the narrator notes he was extremely busy.) It describes a young girl's (named Liesel Meminger) relationship with her foster parents, Hans and Rosa, the other residents of their neighborhood, and a Jewish fist-fighter who hides in her home during the escalation of World War II.
2006 - Horn Book Fanfare
2006 - Kirkus Reviews Editor Choice Award
2006 - School Library Journal Best Book of the Year
2006 - Daniel Elliott Peace Award
2006 - Publishers Weekly Best Children Book of the Year
2006 - Booklist Children Editors' Choice

Or if you want something different you could do it on World War Z. It is a 2006 post-apocalyptic horror novel by Max Brooks. It is a collection of individual accounts in the form of interviews. Brooks plays the role of an agent of the United Nations Postwar Commission, who published the report a decade after the ten-year Zombie War. The interviews chart a decade-long war against zombies from the view point of many different people of various nationalities. The personal accounts also describe the changing religious, geo-political, and environmental aftermath of the Zombie War.

If you want something REALLY different you could do it on a graphic novel. I suggest Watchmen. it's considered one of the greats of the graphic novels. It was listed as one of the greatest BOOKS of all time by Time magazine. I did a study on a different graphic novel, V for Vendetta, and the teacher didn't mind at all.

I am trying to find some good books about best friends to give to my best friend as a meaningful Christmas gift. I am 21, she is 23. She lives an hour away now. Maybe something like that. Thanks for any suggestions!

Answer
Books make great gifts because they're easy to wrap!

I like:
1.Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything (Paperback) By (author) Elizabeth Gilbert
Short Description for Eat, Pray, Love:
Elizabeth Gilbert is in her thirties, she has a husband, a house, and they're trying for a baby - she doesn't want any of it. A bitter divorce and a turbulent love affair later, she emerges battered and bewildered and realises it is time to pursue her own journey in search of three things she has been missing: pleasure, devotion and balance.
2.Eleven Minutes (Paperback) By (author) Paulo Coelho, Translated by Margaret Jull Costa
Full description for Eleven Minutes:
The new bestselling novel, now in paperback, from international literary phenomenon Paulo Coelho, author of The Alchemist. A chance meeting in Rio takes Maria to Geneva, where she dreams of finding fame and fortune, yet ends up working the streets as a prostitute. In Geneva, Maria drifts further and further away from love while at the same time developing a fascination with sex. Eventually, Maria's despairing view of love is put to the test when she meets a handsome young painter. In this odyssey of self-discovery, Maria has to choose between pursuing a path of darkness, 'sexual pleasure for its own sake', or risking everything to find her own 'inner light' and the possibility of sacred sex, sex in the context of love. A daring modern fable about the nature of love and sex.
