So im 14, i cant drive and im babysitting a little 7 year old girl 3 times a week. Its going to be hot, and she loves crafts and using her imagination! Im looking for things to do with her, not just like running thought the sprinkler, going to the park orcoloring pictures! I want full out fun crafts and games and activities to do with her! Thanks!
Answer
Cook something with her (like cookies or cupcakes)
Make homemade play dough then play with it (google edible pay dough recipes, you'll find one)
Google craft ideas, such as birdhouses, scrapbooking (one you can continue too) or maybe sewing
Watch a movie
Play some board games that she likes (most little kids love to but never have anyone to play)
Build a fort- fun even for you
garden
Teach her something you know (like if you play soccer, or if you knit)
Read her stories/maybe start a book that she can read and tell her to read up till like the next chapter. I think the mom will love that
It all depends on the kid

How can I get my 7 year old to read Chapter Books?
KNA
My 7 year old girl is so hooked on to picture books. She refuses to move on to Chapter books. I tried many of them from library. She likes to see color pictures along the way. Can somebody suggest good, short( as she hates thick books) colorful chapter books that I can get from library. Author names or Book names please.
desparate for answers. Please help
Answer
they are somewhat old fashioned but most enid blyton books are illustrated
just a thought - why not read a short passage of the book yourself then ask your daughter to read through the book to find the answer to a question based on what you read - if she gets it right give her a small reward. Do this a few times but obviously not with every book and hopefully she will become as entranced with the written word as she now is with pictures
