My best friend and I both in our early 20's (21 & 22 yrs old) are looking for a book to both read and then discuss. We would like a book for women and that is also inspirational. Basically a book that has an impact that you actually get something out of reading it.
Your help is appreciated.
Answer
The biography of Jenny Churchill, she was Winston Churchill's mum.
The autobiography of Sandra Day O'Conner. It is amazing that she did not become a pregnant, married, ranch worker by 16.
All the Ann Rand books.
A History of Women in the United States - boy, will this book tick you off and inspire you as you see the medical treatements imposed on women and the fact that until the 1950s we were considered property.

Great young adult books?
Hi, I'm an avid reader, and every year my family goes on a trip to Hawaii and we basically read a book or two a day. (We're really big on reading, as you can tell :P) but anyway, this year I've been having some trouble finding really great, interesting books for me to read. I'm 13 years old, but I read books that are above my grade level. I'd prefer to bring along some autobiographies or some biographies, just because I'm in the mood for them :). I'm going to need about 10 or 11 books...any suggestions?
P.S: I've already read the Clique series, the Twilight Series, and the Harry Potter series.
Answer
Hey I'm the same like you too!!
Haha who hasn't read Twilight already?
But I think you should read these books that have inspired and delighted me with meaning and also entertainment. I don't just want to copy down a bunch of teen books from a website. I'd rather give you my opinion too.
The Private Series (If you loved Twilight, your going to love this book!)
Kira Kira (Sometimes I take a break from romance and read books like this which is sad yet meaningful.)
Thousand Splendind Suns (THE BEST BOOK EVER!!! I think it's sad yet meaningful and makes you feel grateful of all our rights us women have these days)
The Kite Runner (It is also by the same author of Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, and this book will make you look at the world a different way)
So B. It (You probably read this but even though it's sad, you'll cherish each moment and page until the book ends)
Lucky T (Now this book has some love, comedy, nonsense, and of course love. I've read this book almost 3 years ago and I still love it)
The Luxe series (This book is about love and scandals where you'll be reading like crazy. This also happens in New York in 1899 so you might be getting a bit of some history too)
Well I hoped that Helps =)
Good Luck ^^
