Help with kindle paperwhite?

Q. hi.

I have a kindle paperwhite which I got for Christmas. At the moment I have only twenty books or so but I hope to expand this with time. I have two questions so if people can answer either or both it would be great.

1) When I click and hold a collection it says
Total: 2 items
In Cloud: no items
On device: 2 items

Does this mean that my books are not backed up to cloud? When I go into cloud my books and collections are there so I do not know why it says this.

2) is there any way of organising subcategories in a collection? Eg in History I would like to make the subcategory Nazi Germany

Thanks

Answer
Any books you get from somewhere other than Amazon will never be in your Cloud. Your Amazon Cloud only has ebooks you bought on Amazon (with the account the Paperwhite is registered to).

The latest Kindle Paperwhite (2013 aka version 2) adds something called Cloud Collections Here is information on Cloud Collections

As far as I know there are no subcategories.

Paranormal Romance Books?

Amber C

Ok so i just bought a kindle and i'm trying to get into reading a lot more but im pretty specific about what i like to read. Really any romance novel i will like but i prefer paranormal stuff (specifically vampires-of course, but any paranormal would be fine) I don't specifically like books that are in a series that skip from one persons love story to the next persons love story etc. through a series i prefer for it to stay on a specific person through the whole series although if its only up to 3 books that would be fine. I have read most of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and i got bored towards the last few books so nothing like that please. I havent read much but the books i have read that i absolutely love are the Twilight series (of course lol), Vampire Academy, and the House of Night series which i just finished and need something else to do until the next one comes out. So Thanks for reading i hope you guys can point me towards some stuff that i would like and thanks in advance for your answers.

Answer
Ohhh you are just like me! ;D Since I see you read Black Dagger Brotherhood, I'm going to assume you are more into Paranormal Romance books aimed at an older/not young-adult audience..?

Well, I just finished reading the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. The first book is called DarkFever. Absolutely gripping, and very well written. I mean, heck. The author used to be a lawyer and graduated from Purdue... It is about a woman named MacKayla Lane, and how upon trying to avenge her sisters death, gets mixed up in the cruel world of the two sides of the Fey - Seelie and Unseelie. [Yay Jericho!] Its a really good book, but I recommend you have the next ones close by, since Moning leaves you iat horrible cliff hangers. Read all four books in five days. AND I'm a highschool student. ;D Shows how good it is... *chucks homework aside..* Heres the first book... Ran out of link space =_=x

Another wonderful series is the Dark Swan series, also by Richelle Mead(author of Vampire Academy). The books are Storm Born and Thorn Queen. This series is about a shaman that pursues a job into the Otherworld where the Fey reside, and realizes a prophecy around her that explains why every male Fey is trying to get into her pants... Love this one too...

God. I can go on forever ;D Well, another one is the Guild Hunter Series by Nalini Singh... Also an ex-lawyer... And trust me, there is a great difference when the author used to be a lawyer... Series tends to be more gripping. There are two books out, Angel's Blood and Archangel's Kiss. The summary of the series is of how a Guild Hunter by the name of Elena gets contracted by the oh so sexy and powerful Archangel Raphael to hunt a rogue Archangel by the name of Uram. Along the hunt, the two are slowly drawn to each other, with a lot of initial sexual tension.

Well, those are three that stood out the most among my collection of eBooks... Others are:
The Riley Jenson Series - http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/172764.Full_Moon_Rising [Has a good story concept, not written as beautifully as the three listed above though.]

Cassandra Palmer Series - http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/67513.Touch_the_Dark [Haven't read this yet.]
------------------------------

And there you have it. I use a really good site to find the books I read, it has user reviews and ratings for each book, ie- 4.37 stars, etc. Another thing I love about it is that they have 'Book Lists', which are categories of books made by users based on type, such as Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, etc. Also, when you select a book, it will recommend book lists that are similar and in the same book list. Here are links to some book lists you might be interested in..
Have fun~!
