"great books of the western word"?

just along

in my grandparents library is a centopican of "the great books of the westen world" and i have imposed it upon myself to not merely read, but to study and try to understand them all. the first book has a "10 year plan" for getting thru them all and it wants me to start out with plato's apology. so anybody know anything about it, or can refer me to someone who does.
i actually did start out to read it a while back, but now knowing ANY histroy on it, it didnt make much sence

I have the Great Books series too, and some of them are more difficult to read than others. You can follow the 10-year plan, or you can just look through them yourself and discover what interests you. I wouldn't jump into the 10-year plan without really looking them over first.

Does anyone know where I can purchase "The Great Books of the Western World" in the Philippines?

This set is made by Britannica. I couldn't find it at National Bookstore. It's probably sold by book agents, sometimes you find them in the malls. Check out where Britannica encyclopedias are sold. I did find someone who's selling online. The entire set costs PHP 53,000.00! This one is from Manila. Contact 8214850 or 8242886 and look for Ellen.
