Jehovah's Witnesses: Where Specifically does the Bible say "The Great Crowd will live on the earth"?

Thanks for all the updates, Its interesting that each one of you can not find where it say's it specifically. Why is that, this is a taught belief, but yet its not in the bible?
In reference to a comment regarding the scripture Revelation 7:14. "These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation." These are earthly tribulation saints, who still go to heaven, but they have to go through tribulation, because they accepted Christ after the tribulation began. Notice their salvation. Verse 14 says this crowd have washed their robes and whitened them in the blood of the lamb. They didn't believe an organization for salvation, they accepted Christ for salvation!! Then in verse 15 it says they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him DAY and NIGHT in His temple. These are heavenly people. They don't sleep. Earthly people sleep. But this Great Crowd serves in the temple, DAY and NIGHT, without need for sleep. In verse 15 Revelation says that they serve God day and night in his temple. The Greek word for temple, and you can look this up in the Witness Greek Interlinear Bible, is the divine habitation of God, Where does God Habitate?

Answer
The book of Revelation indicates that a great crowd would be formed from all nations other scriptures say that the meek will own the earth and dwell forever upon it. However NOWHERE in the Bible does it actually say that the great crowd depicted in revelation will live on the earth. The book Revelation its grand climax at hand- interprets the scriptures and states that the great crowd will live on the earth forever and use their interpretation as fact. Recently there have been updates to our books to change certain "understandings" that have been "reexplained" by god to the 12 brothers on the governing body. if you really believe that god is talking to these brothers that is your belief. Keep in mind this religion is only 100 years old. The founder Brother CT russel was into pyrimidology and numerology and based the dates of the end on the measurements of the pyramids. even his tomb stone is a pyramid. I am a jehovahs witness. I was baptized when i was a preteen and because of that i am committed to the religion due to family reasons. However if someone asks me a question i will answer you the truth. The real TRUTH. even if it makes me look crazy.

Why Jehovahs Witnesses are Not the true religion (most quotes are from their own articals)

How to determine a false prophet.

"But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. You may say in your heart, 'How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?' When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him." - Deut. 18:20-22 New American Standard

"True, there have been those in times past who predicted an âend to the world', even announcing a specific date. Yet nothing happened. The âend' did not come. They were guilty of false prophesying. Why? What was missing?...Missing from such people were God's truths and evidence that he was using and guiding them." (Awake!, 10/8/68, p. 23)

Now does the WT claim to be a prophet? Yes.

"So, does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come? These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet?...This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah's Christian witnesses....Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a "prophet" of God. It is another thing to prove it." (Watchtower 4/1/72, page 197)

I then said, "They have chalalenged us to prove if they are a prophet or not, so let's go and take the test in Deut. 18."

Let's take the test...

1897 "Our Lord, the appointed King, is now present, since October 1874," Studies in the Scriptures, Vol. 4, page 621.

1899 "...the âbattle of the great day of God Almighty' (Revelation 16:14), which will end in A.D. 1914 with the complete overthrow of earth's present rulership, is already commenced." The Time Is at Hand, page 101 (1908 edition).

1916 "The Bible chronology herein presented shows that the six great 1000 year days beginning with Adam are ended, and that the great 7th Day, the 1000 years of Christ's Reign, began in 1873." The Time Is at Hand, page ii, (forward).

1918 "Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection." Millions Now Living Will Never Die, page 89.

1922 "The date 1925 is even more distinctly indicated by the Scriptures than 1914." The Watchtower 9/1/22, page 262.

1923 "Our thought is, that 1925 is definitely settled by the Scriptures. As to Noah, the Christian now has much more upon which to base his faith than Noah had upon which to base his faith in a coming deluge." The Watchtower, page 106 4/1/23.

(Noah heard the very words of God Himself!! And they were saying that 1925 was more sure then the Words of God himself."

1925 "The year 1925 is here. With great expectation Christians have looked forward to this year. Many have confidently expected that all members of the body of Christ will be changed to heavenly glory during this year. This may be accomplished. It may not be. In his own due time God will accomplish his purposes concerning his people. Christians should not be so deeply concerned about what may transpire this year." The Watchtower, 1/1/25, page. 3.

1925 "It is to be expected that Satan will try to inject into the minds of the consecrated, the thought that 1925 should see an end to the work." The Watchtower, Sept, 1925 page 262.

(See how they turned it back on the readers?)

1926 "Some anticipated tha

Title of a Book Series That I Can't Remember?

askpacman

I remember reading this series of fiction books as a young kid, about these good and bad wizards. Pretty much their magic came from a special powder (crack?... lol) that they put into these hollow wands, and there was good powder and bad powder. I remember in one of the books one of the evil people mixed the two together to make a super strong powder. I also remember something about a sea captain whos boat ran off of salt water, and who liked boston baked beans. I am also pretty sure that the setting was in the UK. I would really like to find the name of this book, any suggestions of a series that you think is similar to the one I am taking about would be great. (I am not sure about the exact details because I read it a long time ago, so anything similar I will investigate)

Note: It IS NOT Harry Potter; people have suggested this, but i would not forget the name of that series.

Answer
Is it The Witch Trade by Michael Molloy?

Gr 5-8 âThis seafaring magic story about special powers, fantastic technology from Atlantis, and saving the world misses its mark. The world's supply of Ice Dust, a white powder that must be part of the Light (good) Witches' spells, is nearly depleted. The trade of Ice Dust was formerly controlled by the Sea Witches, but frequent raids by Night Witches have stopped the flow, and worse, they have found a way to combine it with toxic waste to create Black Dust. The impoverished Light Witches are also in danger of annihilation from wicked technologies enhanced by Black Dust. Orphaned Abby and her sea-foundling friend Spike meet Captain Starlight, who is hoping to revive the Witch Trade, take revenge on the Night Witches for destroying his New England sea village, and save the good witches. Tidy coincidences, touches of humor, and marvelous elements abound, but a sense of overall wonder is missing, perhaps because the story is so crowded and convoluted. The narrative moves briskly without pausing to examine the implications of any of the plot points or any but the surface motivations of its characters. Though Abby seems to be the principal protagonist, Molloy keeps his distance from her, and invests her with little in the way of emotions or thoughts about the events around her. This detachment flattens the dramatic tension that makes fantasy so satisfying. The Night Witches are bad indeed, but the outcome is never in doubt.âKathie Meizner, Montgomery County Public Libraries, Chevy Chase, MD --Kathie Meizner (Reviewed December 1, 2001) (School Library Journal, vol 47, issue 12, p139) .

Didn't mean to include all of that negative stuff in there, but this is the only summary that included information about the dust in the wands.
