similar stories of a 1920s socialite and presumptive heir to a tycoon's fortune, the relationship with his wife Gloria, his service in the army, and alcoholism. The novel provides an excellent portrait of the Eastern elite as the Jazz Age begins its ascent, engulfing all classes into what will soon be known as Café Society. As with all of his other novels, it is a brilliant character study and is also an early account of the complexities of marriage and intimacy that were further explored in Tender Is the Night.
Tom and Daisy's relationship was similar to them.

I need a good book with elements of fiction and non-fiction?
Questioner
Hey Im bored and I need a good book to read. Something that has a story with the element of fiction and non-fiction. A story to do with the unknown or beyond, or such. Books like the ones Dan Brown, Dean Koontz writes. Books like say the Malice Box. Know any?
Answer
try The Keep by F. Paul Wilson. great flick about an evil being trapped in a romanian castle that is released by nazi soldiers housed at the castle. great mix of history and supernatural.

Harry Turtledove's alternate histories are great. hes got one about what would have happened if aliens had invaded during WWII: The Worldwar Tetrology (In the Balance, Tilting the Balance, Upsetting the Balance, Striking the Balance)

Dan Simmon's book The Terror is fantastic. It's about a real life expedition to find the northwest passage about Canada that disappeared. It shows what might have happened to them and the supernatural evil they might have encountered. it was very well researched, and even without the supernatural stuff, this book is horrifying in how well it shows the privation of being trapped in the ice thousands of miles from civilization.
