great books for MEN?!?

my boyfriend is 21 and he is going on a family vacation in two weeks and has asked me to get him a couple books to read on the way there, and free time. Any suggestions from men around this age that have read good books? I love reading and would understand why he asked me, but I read books that i KNOW he would not like.

Q. What are some really good books that help you look at life different (but still entertaining). I just have this twisted view on the world , I'm in pain, grieving and I'm just having a hard time finding hope. I want to be on the right track and I feel that reading a good inspirational book will help me.
