My sister goes through books like I go through husbands... JUST KIDDING. But really.... she loves to read. She likes funny books the best. Is there any books that you may of read, that are hilarious?? I would love to give her a great book for Xmas

For Sci-Fi, try Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

If she likes fantasy, then any of the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett will tickle her funny bone. Also try the Xanth books by Piers Anthony. Both of these series are full of puns and plenty of social satire.

If you want to try something a little different, then try Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. It is kind of a supernatural thriller, but is told in a quite endearing and funny way and includes a beautiful love story as well. Many other of Koontz's books also include healthy doses of humor, so try Life Expectancy as well.

If she likes hard-boiled private eye stories, then try John Zakour's Zach novels. These take your classic private eye stories (Sam Spade, etc...) and totally turn them on their ear. Totally absurd situations and fun to read.

That the person gifting them think you would like......Would you rather get the whole series? Or would you rather want to get a few first novel in the series, Incase you didn't like the series?
Haha I actually meant would you rather get The first book (in a few DIFFERENT series) incase you didn't like the series, then you'd have more then one choice....Or would you rather have the whole series instead of like 4 random first novels in different series. I"m asking because I found several series that my sister would like (that she has never heard of btw) and I'm not sure if I should get the whole series or just like 4 different novel (first story in the novel) series.
Because with me? It would suck if I got like 5 or more books in a series and I don't even like book 1....But then again if I love the series it would suck if I only got book 1 LOL.

I would rather just get one book. It has a certain intimacy attached to it. Instead of just dumping an entire series that may become a permanent wall fixture one book allows you to see how they like it. You hear some rave reviews and there's your cue for the next book in the series. The rest can be purchased throughout the year. It really depends on what you fell about it. We don't know how much time the recipient will have to read nor do we know how close you two are which may make a difference.
So sorry I misunderstood. In that case I would still want the first book of a few different series. Hmm But then again it might look like you are fishing. It might even start a new tradition. You hear about the ones she likes and every once in a while she get's surprised with a new book or three. Even if she gets lost in one of your gifts and finishes the book in a few days or less the wait for the next book will just make the heart grow fonder.
