in terms of strategy books i like - phil gordons little gold book, moshmans sit n go strategy, theory of poker by sklansky, harrington on cash games series.
in terms of tilt books i like - the mental game of poker, the tao of poker and elements of poker.
other books i reccommend are every hand revealed by gus hansen, for richer for poorer by victoria coren.
in terms of reading people in live games i wouldn't get caught up in the body language tells stuff !
instead focus on the type of personality your opponent has and what his or her nature is, some people don't understand that poker is combative and your supposed to get value from bad hands with your good hands, some people think its a check call showdown game. try to get a grasp on your opponents understanding of the game and adjust accordingly.

Doyle Brunson's Super System - it is the Poker Bible
No book can truly make you great, but reading this book will put you in the mind of one of the greatest players the world has seen.
PC Poker Games - they are all pretty crap, but the World Series of Poker ones seem to be the best. Better than the WPT ones. When I say "Better", I mean 1. Harder, 2. Better AI, 3. Computer isn't super predictable, 4. More pictures of real players
