I saw one at a sporting event the other day. It was cigar shaped, moved silently, and seem to just hover slowly. It was grey metallic type color and huge. It started shining lights at us like it was trying to communicate. Eventually it started scrolling words across it in English.
Most scariest thing I have ever seen.

Interesting question. Sport canoeing has operated in cycles since the 1860s. Few of the champions are reported to be instructors. Canoe racing offers many kinds of competition. Flat water, down river, slalom, long distance and so on. Chances are that any instructor on the NOC or Bear Paw staff would qualify as among the best. Olympic coaches should also be considered. I don't know if, John MacGregor, ever taught canoeing but he is considered the father of sport canoeing. Pierre Pulling wrote a great book about how to canoe, Principles of Canoeing. Read about 'Nessmuck'. Noth American Indians used canoes for a thousand years before the White man arrived. Who taught them? I doubt that there is an answer available to your question.
