Great Books. Easy to do a report on.

The original ''Dracula'' by Bram Stoker is a winner as well as the original ''Frankenstein'' by Mary Shelley.

Stoker, however was from Ireland and Shelley was from England, so it wouldnt be American Lit. Sorry about that.
