ok well i need to buy a book by 10/2 but i have no idea wat to read. does anyone no what a god good book for an 8th grade girl to read? and also wat its about? thanks!

Some of my favorite books are by Sara Dessen. Lock and Key is her newest novel about a 17 year old girl whose mother walked out on her and she is left alone in this house for two months until she is shipped off to live with her sister who she hasn't seen in 7 years.
My favorite series is the Private series by Kate Brian. It's about a girl named Reed who is not that wealthy who recieves a scholarship to go to the infamous Easton acadamy, but she discovers all is not what it seems when the first true love she ever had was murdered, and by one of her very best friends.
My last suggestion would be the pretty little liars series. In this series, there are five friends and one of them mysteriously goes missing in the 7th grade and shows up dead 3 or 4 years later. Now someone is threatening to tell there deepest secrets that only the dead friends knew and they can't seem to figure out who this mysterious A person is.
Along with these, any other book by any of these authors are fabulous.

What are some good books for 8th grade girls?

I want to get a book for my little cousin and she is an 8th grader.
here is what she likes
~books with magic (magic like in Harry Potter)
~romance (nothing too dirty though)
~drama (high school drama such as popularity statuses)

Just Listen - Sara Desen (The main character lost her best friend because misunderstanding, and that made her unpopular in her school, than she meets a boy that teaches her about real values in life with the music, and then they fall in love, it's really beautiful)
Thirteen Treasures - Michelle Harrison (A girl can see fairies and she goes to her grandma's place for summer which is full of them, and she discovers something really awesome about the girl that died there many years ago, it sounds like it's for a little kid but it's actually really good, and it kept my attention all time)
Two little girls in blue - Mary Higgins Clark (Two twin girls get kidnapped, so the kidnappers give one girl back and not the other one, and everyone is trying to save her, i was reading the book till the last page so i could know did they give her back, it's awesome)
All of these are awesome, my 3 favorite books ever.. :D She'd like them... :) And I'm sorry for my english, I'm from Serbia..
