A great romance book?

Over winter break, I need to read a romantic book for english. A realistic one, so no twilight. Just your every day, passionate, love story. My class just finished Romeo and Juliet, and now we need to find books, that after the break we can compare with. If you are wondering why we are focusing on love stories, is because according to my teacher, we need to find strong feelings in words. So, a book with lots of passion, and love should work. Don't list the Notebook, I already read that.

I just recommended this book to someone. It's called "Scorpio Love", a new book out on Amazon in hard copy and in a kindle version. It's a wonderful contemporary love story with good, believable dialogue and characters that are real.
Here's the book description: Susan purchases a crystal globe mounted on a stand resembling the claw of an Eagle after a mysterious woman correctly identifies her as a Scorpio and informs her that she is an Eagle. "Scorpios who are Eagles can soar to great heights an accomplish things that others would consider miracles by sheer will power," the woman tells her. "They have within themselves the power to manifest their dreams as long as they truly believe. Dreams play a very important role in the life of an Eagle." Susan takes the crystal globe and Eagle's claw mount home and places them on her bedside table. Not long afterwards, the dreams begin - dreams that eventually compel her to travel thousands of miles to save the life of a Scorpio man whom she has never met and who, she is certain, can never be hers in this lifetime but whose soul, she knows, is connected to her own.
