Are there any great books about brave, tough women?
KayleeR
Like queens, warrior women, amazons??? Thank you I need to do a report on one of those books.
Answer
You might find Warrior Queens ( I think Alison Weir is the author) to be of interest. As the title implies, it deals with women who were both political leaders as well as fighters, such as Boudicca and Zenobia, just to name two. What's more, the women presented are not all just European--there is a chapter entitled "Jinga at the Gates," concerning an African queen who resisted European encroachment on her territory.
