For grad school I'm working with an 8th grade boy and hates to read. It doesn't matter what the book is about he automatically hates it and doesn't even want to try. I have tried getting books about things that he is interested in but it still doesn't help. He did like the Skeleton Creek Books which involved going online to watch youtube videos before going back to read more,but it was only a 3.8 reading level. If anyone has any suggestions on strategies on books he might be interested that would be more at his level that would be great.
