What i mean by "best" is great reviews, scholarly, a renowned and respected author, definitive and (if possible) relatively recent (at least 2000's)

uhmm, i just can't tell if this is the best book. but i recommend "Mahatma Gandhi: A Historical Biography" by Chakrabarty, Bidyut; (Author) . This historical biography attempts to articulate the historiography of Indiaâs freedom struggle of which Gandhi was undoubtedly the central figure. Relooking at key issues and themes that have been raised in the research conducted over the past few decades, this is an interpretative essay that seeks to contextualize Gandhi and his ideology of ahimsa and satyagraha.

or you can have "GANDHI - A Pictorial Biography" by Shri B. R. Nanda. His full-scale biography of Mahatma Gandhi has been published in India, Britain and the U.S.A. and translated into French, Spanish, Italian and several other languages

I am doing an assignment for a Women's Studies class and I need to use a children's book from different decades. Please tell me the title of a book you know of from one of these decades. Even if you don't know exactly when it was published thats ok, I need as many suggestions as possible!
