How come james patterson changes max's appearance throughout the series?

In Max the newest maximum ride book james patterson has angel saying that max has brown hair and brown eyes. Then in other books he says she has blonde hair and then brown again. I am so confused. Which is it?

i am going to start reading the new series... but didn't she die her hair like once in nyc (i think it was the second book was it?) remember how they got that makeover...? i think that's why.. or mabye its dirt and its just so much in her hair that they just call it brown because they hardly ever have showers... only when max is at her mom's house? but its deff. blonde for her mom has blonde hair and yeah i know for sure it's deff blonde...

Who is the avian human on the cover of the maximum ride book by James Patterson schools out forever?

I was reading the schools out forever book by James Patterson and I noticed the shadow of one of the avian humans and I can't figure out who is on the cover is it fang or is it iggy?

I think it might be Iggy because there is another book in the series about Fang (and obviously Fang will be on the cover of a book about him!). Also, in the book it says that Fang has long-ish hair and the shadow on the book has short hair.
