Basically I've just started writing my book (it took 6 months of stalling and planning) and I'm already worried it sounds boring. I know the first write up is gonna be crappy. But as I'm writing, I'm just like- "Maybe I should post this before I carry on." I'm starting to get tempted but I know if I do I'll get all butthurt if people say it's crap even though I know it probably is. I know I shouldn't be so sensitive but this is how I feel. How do I stop myself 1. Thinking about posting my writing thus distracting me from writing properly and 2. Actually posting my writing?

The way writers throughout the ages have disciplined themselves not to inflict unfinished work on innocent bystanders: By nurturing in your soul a deep paranoia about other people stealing your work, becoming rich and famous from it, and then denying you the acclaim you deserve.
Not that it's going to happen, but if you can manage to worry about it, you will become a lot more reluctant to post each draft on the World Wide Web, which is probably best for all concerned. Just try not to get quite so paranoid that you will not show it to an editor when the time comes. (Almost that paranoid, but not quite. It's a fine line.)
I wish you all the best with your project.
