What is a RELIABLE list of the top 10 (or 100) books of all time?

Is there any source out there that is nationally recognized and reliable that gives a list of the greatest books ever written? Not just some NY Times author's top 10 list! Please include a link if you can!

Any website isn`t likely to be 110% reliable, but BBC has named 100 of most well-known books (on the link above)... :)

What are the best books ever written?

Q. Hi, I'm doing a blog of 1,000 of the greatest books ever written for all types of people. anyways, me and my friends only got to number 928 and seem to be stumped. Do you know of any good reads? and I'll see if they are already on the list. It has everything from Jane Austen to J.K. and lots of others. What's some good books you recommend? Thanks
