My niece needs my help and is in the 6th grade. Her project is to write a story that is appropriate for 6th graders but can be converted into a book to read to the 3rd graders. Can you please help us?
(We would like some cycles like the water cycle but not the water cycle because everybody dose that one.)

Answer
Do something about the decomposition of 3 different things in soil, one's that compost at dramatically different rates. Say an apple a plastic bottle and a tin can. It will teach kids about compost, the environment and recycling.

You could also have a worm narrate it and make the younger kids giggle, "I like to eat apples and makes them into soil, but tin can's make my tummy hurt."

What's a good historical fiction book for a 3rd grader?

My younger brother needs to find a historical fiction book for a book report. So if anyone knows any really good ones for a 3rd grader, I would really appreciate the help.
